Robert Martwick is a trial lawyer with extensive experience. He has tried hundreds of cases and has the skills and tenacity to secure the right outcome for your case. Before entering private practice, Robert Martwick honed his trial skills at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. During his tenure at the State’s Attorney’s Office, Robert worked in Child Support Enforcement, Criminal Prosecutions and Real Estate Taxation. While in the Criminal Division, he spent 18 months working in the Domestic Violence Unit, including spending one year as the lead prosecutor of the unit.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Martwick is deeply involved in the political process. He has been a candidate for public office 6 times, running for Norwood Park Township Trustee in 1993, Illinois State Senate in 1996, Cook County Commissioner in 2002. He currently serves as a Village Trustee in the Village of Norridge, a post he was elected to and has served in since 1999. He is the chairman of the Economic Development, Environment and Village Properties Committee as well as serving on the Streets and Sewers Committee and the Law and Ordinance Committee. His involvement in politics has included working with many current and past elected officials on their various campaign efforts, including many judicial candidates.
